The aim of this diploma is to improve your effectiveness as a coach, getting better results – faster. Through improved understanding of the theory and hands-on practice with your coaching model, you’ll improve your confidence, capabilities and your eligibility for further credentials with the International Coach Federation (ICF) or European Mentoring & Coaching Council (EMCC).

What’s involved
The course will give you access to a wide range of theories, methods and tools as well as live coaching practice to stretch you in your thinking and approach.
The theory half of the programme will be delivered online. Spanning 33 weeks over 10 months, the programme includes at-home access to study when it suits you and weekly facilitated discussions by AoEC Faculty.
The other half will be monthly live peer practice sessions and regular practice with coachees outside of the modules. This will be essential as application of theory will be a key part of supervision.
The Online Senior Practitioner Diploma is comprised of eight modules structured over 10 months.

Kimberli Lewis discusses how to work with the four dimensions of diversity: Gender, Culture, Ethnicity and Age.
Challenging Coaching
John Blakey introduces the FACTS model and looks at this new and challenging approach to coaching.
Cognitive Behavioural Coaching
Gladeana McMahon provides an introduction to CBC including preparing the client and tools to support your Cognitive Behavioural Coaching.
Immunity to Change
Zia covers the theory of adaptive leadership, adult development theory and a new type of coaching that is evolving.
Ethics
Sophie takes us through explored ethical principles and core value, considered ethical complexities and challenges and identified sources of support and guidance.
Mindfulness
Liz Hall explains the core elements of Mindfulness and how these elements can transform your coaching.
Working with Emotions
John will discuss how to manage emotions and how the Gestalt perspective fits in with other approaches.
Neuroscience
Ursula Franklin gives an overview of Neuroscience and its relevance to coaching.
Who’s it for?
We want to maintain the highest quality of participants so you will benefit enormously through learning from each other. This means that all participants should be:
- Experienced coaches at ACC level actively practising with 50 hours of client coaching
- Constantly refreshing their coaching model and style of coaching
- Experiencing regular supervision – individual or group
- Self-managed learners
Coach Training Hours
Participants can achieve 81 accredited coach specific training hours (ACSTH) with the ICF, if all elements of the programme are completed.
Support for applications to the EMCC is in the form of a statement of attendance showing the number of hours completed and a factsheet outlining the course details.
We can provide further course information to participants if requested by the ICF or EMCC.
